MINUTES FOR THE ONEIDA-SHERRILL LIONS CLUB FEB. 14, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. at the Madison House Restaurant by KING LION PAT FEARON with these Lions in attendance: Loyal Canning, Hal Chamberlain, Mike Jaquays, Brenda Manseri, Leif Nicolaisen, Grace Peretta, John Peretta, Lou White, our guest speaker Back Street Mary Messere, and our perpetual guest Sukosh Fearon.

KL PAT showed the Lions some fundraising books sent by Lion Paul Haynes.

BACK STREET MARY gave a presentation on her new History Star Productions Internet company.

There was no other business at this meeting and it was adjourned at 8:35 p.m.

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. at the Madison House Restaurant by KING LION PAT FEARON with these Lions in attendance: Jerry Baker, Loyal Canning, Hal Chamberlain, Jen Cummings, Pete Dwyer, Ernie Giraud, Mike Jaquays, Brenda Manseri, John Musgrove, Leif Nicolaisen, Bob Visalli, and Lou White, plus our perpetual guest Sukosh Fearon.

The LIONS voted to donate $300 to the Upstate Cancer Center.

The Spaghetti Dinner was moved to April 17, and the Lions agreed to raise the price to $9 this year.

Glasses sorting night was moved to April 24.

KL PAT told the group the NYS Lions Convention would be May 17-20 at the Oncenter in Syracuse and registration forms were available online.

LION PETE suggested all Lions give LION CHARLIE a call as he was ill.

The clip tray raised $15.

The 50/50 awarded $19 to LION MIKE.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.

SPAGHETTI SUPPER SUPPORTS YOUTH PROGRAMS

ONEIDA -- The Oneida-Sherrill Lions Club will serve their annual spaghetti supper on April 17 at the Madison House Restaurant.

The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and is a fundraiser for the club’s scholarships and youth programs. The menu features the Madison House’s famed spaghetti with meatballs or sausage, Italian bread, salad, beverage, and desserts homemade by the Lions themselves.

Tickets are $9 and available from any chapter member or at the door. The Madison House is located at 140 Madison Street in Oneida. For more information, call King Lion Pat Fearon at 363-8997 or Lion Mike Jaquays at 280-0692.
