Our next meeting is a spouses night and will feature Jody Luce, the "Tailor of Peterboro," talking about the Civil War-era outfits she creates. It'll be fun! See you all on Dec. 10.

AREA STUDENTS HELP LIONS HELP OTHERS




(Photo by Mike Jaquays) The members of the Oneida-Sherrill Lions Club had much-appreciated help during their annual pancake breakfast on Nov. 3 at the Knights of Columbus building in Oneida. Students from the Canastota Lions Club’s Leos chapter, plus some other community youngsters as well, assisted the Lions in serving breakfast and cleaning tables during the fundraising event. BROOMS FOR SALE!

LOCAL LIONS RAISING FUNDS FOR SIGHT AND HEARING IMPAIRED

ONEIDA >> The Oneida-Sherrill Lions Club is again offering brooms for sale in an effort to raise funds to aid the sight and hearing impaired in the Oneida area.

     The money raised by the sales will help pay for eye exams and glasses and also hearing aids for the needy.

SPAGHETTI SUPPER SUPPORTS YOUTH PROGRAMS


ONEIDA -- The Oneida-Sherrill Lions Club will serve their annual spaghetti supper on April 16 at the Madison House Restaurant.

The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and is a fundraiser for the club’s scholarships and youth programs. The menu features the Madison House’s famed spaghetti with meatballs or sausage, Italian bread, salad, beverage, and dessert.

Tickets are $9 and available from any chapter member or at the door. The Madison House is located at 140 Madison Street in Oneida. For more information, call King Lion Pat Fearon at 363-8997 or Lion Mike Jaquays at 280-0692.
