MINUTES FOR THE ONEIDA-SHERRILL LIONS CLUB MARCH 27, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. at the Madison House Restaurant by KING LION PAT FEARON with these Lions in attendance: Loyal Canning, Hal Chamberlain, Pete Dwyer, Ernie Giraud, Mike Jaquays, Pete Luvera, Brenda Manseri, John Musgrove, Leif Nicolaisen, Ed Thoma, Bob Visalli, Lou White, our guest speakers Kim Krula and Tara Verro from CAP, and our perpetual guest Sukosh Fearon.

LION MIKE gave the secretary‘s report and it was accepted.

LION PETE gave the treasurer’s report and it was accepted.

LION PETE said the raffle money collection was moving along nicely and looked like it will be a banner year.

KL PAT scheduled a board meeting for the same night as the April 24 glasses sorting night to authorize some checks.

KIM and TARA gave an overview of the Community Action Partnership of Madison County.

LION MIKE read a thank you card from Gary Harrington’s widow.

The 50/50 awarded $17 to LION LEIF.

The clip tray raised $13.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.

MINUTES FROM MARCH 13, 2012


MINUTES FOR THE ONEIDA-SHERRILL LIONS CLUB MARCH 13, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. at the Madison House Restaurant by KING LION PAT FEARON with these Lions in attendance: Jerry Baker, Loyal Canning, Hal Chamberlain, Pete Dwyer, Ernie Giraud, Mike Jaquays, Pete Luvera, Brenda Manseri, Leif Nicolaisen, Lou White, our guest speaker Kim Hawkins, and our perpetual guest Sukosh Fearon.

KING LION PAT asked LION MIKE to remember to push the homemade desserts in Spaghetti Supper announcements.

LION MIKE gave the secretary’s report and it was accepted as read.

KL PAT said tickets were distributed for the Spaghetti Supper and reminded the Lions of the price change. There would be no sign-ups for working the event; she asked the members to just show up.

KL PAT announced the Canastota LIONS would have a St. Patrick’s Day corned beef and cabbage dinner the following Saturday at the Rusty Rail.

LION LEIF asked the group to bring in their used postage stamps, and asked that the outstanding Enjoy the City books be located or the money turned in for them.

LION PETE said raffle tickets had been given out, but he hadn’t received money for them yet.

KIM HAWKINS gave an overview of her Ruffin’ It outreach that provides dog houses to dogs in need.

The 50/50 awarded $20 to LION BRENDA.

The clip tray raised $13.07.
