ONEIDA-SHERRILL LIONS CLUB

Meeting minutes 11/22/2011

The regular meeting of the club was called together by King Lion Pat Fearon at the Madison House Restaurant at 7 p.m. with these members in attendance: Jerry Baker, Loyal Canning, Hal Chamberlain, Pete Dwyer, Ernie Giraud, Brenda Manaseri, Ed Miller, John Musgrove, Leif Nicolaisen, Bob Visalli, and Lou White plus our perpetual guest Sukosh Fearon and speaker Jim Ransom of Toys for Tots.

KING LION Pat read the secretary’s report, and it was accepted as read.

HONEST BOB talked about the places he has asked about the Christmas dinner and said he needs about 30 people. Price is between $20-25. Pier 31 was chosen and the date set for Jan. 14.

Dinner was a scrumptious ham, mashed potatoes, green beans and lava cake.

LION JOHN read a letter from LION DOUG saying he was taking a leave of absence because of Roberta’s health.

JIM RANSOM told the group he is in charge of six counties of Toys for Tots, and last year they served 3,000 kids in Madison County and donated $8,000. The LIONS gave him a check for Toys for Tots for $200.

THE CLIP TRAY brought in $13.

THE 50/50 AWARDED $17 to LION JERRY.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
